...The National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston TX has issued a
Flood Warning for the following rivers in Texas...

Brazos River near West Columbia affecting Brazoria County.

For the Brazos River...including US 59,  Sugar Land,  TX, West
Columbia, Bryan, Hempstead, Bellville, San Felipe, Richmond,
Rosharon...Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE...Brazos River near West Columbia.

* WHEN...From this morning until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 25.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding begins as water
escapes the mainstem of the Brazos River approximately 6 miles
downstream of the gauge. Lowest homes in Bar X are threatened.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:30 AM CDT Monday the stage was 24.7 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 20.0 feet
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 10:30 AM CDT Monday was 24.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 25.4
feet early Thursday morning.
- Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
- Flood History...No available flood history.

For the Brazos River...including US 59,  Sugar Land,  TX, West
Columbia, Bryan, Hempstead, Bellville, San Felipe, Richmond,
Rosharon...Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Brazos River near Rosharon.

* WHEN...Until Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 46.5 feet, Minor lowland flooding continues.
Livestock should be removed from low areas in the flood plain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 45.4 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 42.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 11:00 AM CDT Monday was 45.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 46.6
feet late Wednesday evening. It will then fall below flood
stage early Saturday morning.
- Flood stage is 43.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
46.6 feet on 06/17/1987.
