Neches River Near Alto affecting Houston, Anderson, Cherokee and Trinity Counties. Neches River Near Neches affecting Houston, Anderson and Cherokee Counties. For the Neches River...including Lake Palestine, Neches, Alto, Diboll, Rockland...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Neches River at Rockland. * WHEN...Until late Sunday evening. * IMPACTS...At 26.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 26.6 feet. - Bankfull stage is 28.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:00 PM CDT Friday was 27.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early Sunday morning and continue falling to 22.5 feet Wednesday evening. - Flood stage is 26.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
