...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING...
The Flood Watch continues for
* Portions of northern Connecticut and Massachusetts, including
the following areas, in northern Connecticut, Hartford,
Tolland, and Windham. In Massachusetts, Franklin, Hampden,
Hampshire, and Worcester.
* Through this evening
* Widespread showers with locally heavy rainfall continue today
before gradually shifting to eastern New Eng this afternoon and
evening.
* Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches, with locally higher amounts
are possible. This may result in urban and poor drainage
flooding.
* In addition, the heavy rainfall will exacerbate or renew
mainstem river flooding along the Connecticut River. It may also
contribute to sharp rises for a few smaller streams within the
watch area.
