...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers and
locations in Indiana...

East Fork White River near Rivervale.

White River at Newberry, Edwardsport, Elliston.


...The Flood Warning is extended for the following river and
locations in Indiana...

White River at Hazleton and Petersburg.

.Minor flooding...following heavy rainfall last week...will continue
on the East Fork White River at Rivervale into early Thursday...and
on the White River at Elliston and Newberry into Thursday night...
and points farther downstream into at least this weekend.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...White River at Newberry.

* WHEN...Until early Friday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Flood waters block access and begins to
surround about 5 to 10 river cabins on south side of the river
just southwest of Newberry.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:30 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 17.1 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:30 PM EDT Wednesday was 18.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
early tomorrow afternoon and continue falling and remain
below flood stage.
- Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet

- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:00 AM EDT Wednesday was 23.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late tomorrow evening and continue falling and remain below
flood stage.
- Flood stage is 18.0 feet.

levee.  Flooding not nearly as bad as June 2008 levee failure.

- At 7:00 PM EDT Wednesday /6:00 PM CDT Wednesday/ the stage
was 21.8 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 7:00 PM EDT Wednesday /6:00 PM CDT Wednesday/ was
22.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late Saturday morning and continue falling and remain below
flood stage.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Extensive flooding is progress affecting
agricultural and rural residential areas.  Several rural county
roads extensively flooded including Bottoms Rd...Brothers Rd and
E. Governor Rd in Knox County.  A few residents may move out in an
area locally known as Dodge City.  Several small oil fields are
inaccessible. During agricultural season much flood damage can
occur.  High water isolates some river cabin residents.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:45 PM EDT Wednesday /8:45 PM CDT Wednesday/ the stage
was 22.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:45 PM EDT Wednesday /8:45 PM CDT Wednesday/ was
22.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 22.4
feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below flood stage
early Tuesday morning.
- Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
