White River at Newberry, Edwardsport, Elliston. ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following river and locations in Indiana... White River at Hazleton and Petersburg. .Minor flooding...following heavy rainfall last week...will continue on the East Fork White River at Rivervale into early Thursday...and on the White River at Elliston and Newberry into Thursday night... and points farther downstream into at least this weekend. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...White River at Newberry. * WHEN...Until early Friday morning. * IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Flood waters block access and begins to surround about 5 to 10 river cabins on south side of the river just southwest of Newberry. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:30 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 17.1 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:30 PM EDT Wednesday was 18.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon and continue falling and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Several small oil fields are inaccessible. During agricultural season much flood damage can occur.
