...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM AKST FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 55 below.

* WHERE...Eastern Norton Sound and Nulato Hills, Lower Yukon River,
Lower Yukon and Innoko Valleys, Middle Yukon Valley, North Slopes
of the Western Alaska Range, Upper Kuskokwim Valley, and Yukon
Delta Coast.

* WHEN...Until 3 PM AKST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
is exposed to these temperatures. Very cold temperatures and wind
chills can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

Information: 
Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.
