...DENSE FOG ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM EDT THIS MORNING... ...GALE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 9 AM EDT FRIDAY...

* WHAT...For the Dense Fog Advisory, dense fog will reduce
visibility to 1 to 2 NM. For the Gale Warning, northwest winds
25 to 35 kt with gusts up to 45 kt and seas 6 to 11 ft
expected.

* WHERE...The coastal waters from Oregon Inlet to Ocracoke Inlet.

* WHEN...For the Dense Fog Advisory, until 8 AM EDT this
morning. For the Gale Warning, from 2 PM this afternoon to 9
AM EDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. Low
visibility will make navigation difficult.

Information:
Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for severe conditions.

If you must navigate, proceed with caution. Use proper fog
signals. Make sure all running lights are on. Remember to use
your radar and compass.
