...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT TONIGHT... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Iowa, including the following areas, Henry IA, Jefferson, Keokuk, Van Buren and Washington. * WHEN...Until midnight CDT tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches in a short time are possible. With soils saturated from rainfall this morning, this will lead to an increased risk of flash flooding through this evening.
