...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE WEDNESDAY EVENING...

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers and
locations in Indiana...Illinois...

Wabash River from Lafayette downstream to Mount Carmel, except for
Clinton.

White River at Edwardsport downstream to Hazleton.

.Main stems rivers in central and southern Indiana continue to work
at emptying last week's copious rainfall.  Flooding continues on the
Wabash River from Lafayette to Mount Carmel...except at Clinton
where flooding ended earlier today, and on the White River south of
Newberry. Flooding will last as long as mid week next week.

Dry weather through Monday will be conducive to the rivers
continuing their downfall.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Wabash River at Mount Carmel.

* WHEN...Until late Wednesday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 22.9 feet, Water begins to flow over River Road just
north of Fifth Street in the Mount Carmel area.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:45 PM EDT Friday /8:45 PM CDT Friday/ the stage was 22.1
feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:45 PM EDT Friday /8:45 PM CDT Friday/ was 22.1
feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 22.5
feet Sunday morning. It will then fall below flood stage late
Wednesday morning.
- Flood stage is 19.0 feet.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Myers Dam, Shawneetown...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Ohio River at Shawneetown.

* WHEN...Until Wednesday evening.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:30 AM CDT Friday the stage was 39.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 40.2
feet early Sunday morning. It will then fall below flood
stage early Wednesday afternoon.

minor flood at New Harmony.

For the Wabash River...including New Harmony...Minor flooding is
forecast.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Wabash River at New Harmony.

* WHEN...Until early Thursday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Harmonie State Park is closed. Surrounding
bottomland is flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:30 AM CDT Friday the stage was 16.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.2
feet early Sunday afternoon. It will then fall below flood
stage Thursday morning.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

Information:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
