...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast Illinois, including the following
counties, Cook and Will and northwest Indiana, including the
following county, Lake IN.

* WHEN...Until 300 PM CDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
Underpasses may be flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 850 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated that the heavy rain
has ended, however 2 to locally in excess of 3 inches of rain
has fallen in the warning area. Water level gauges along Deer
Creek, Lansing Ditch and Hart Ditch indicate high water
levels, with flooding likely in and around these streams, as
well as low lying and poor drainage areas. Expect water
levels to gradually recede this afternoon.

Merrillville, Chicago Heights, Schererville, Crown Point,
Munster, Park Forest, Matteson, Steger, Dyer, St. John,
Richton Park, Sauk Village, Flossmoor, Lynwood, Glenwood,
Crete, University Park, Olympia Fields, Ford Heights and
South Chicago Heights.
