...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers and
locations in Indiana...Illinois...

White River from Edwardsport southward to Hazleton.

Wabash River from Lafayette southward to Mount Carmel.

.Main stems rivers in central and southern Indiana continue to work
at emptying last week's copious rainfall.  Flooding continues on the
Wabash River from Lafayette to Mount Carmel, and on the White River
south of Newberry.  Flooding ended at Elliston and Newberry on the
White River earlier today.  Flooding will last as long as mid week
next week.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...White River at Edwardsport.

* WHEN...Until early Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Water is at critical levels for makeshift
levees.  Most of bottomlands flood.  Old Vincennes road and State
Road 358 between Plainville and Edwardsport are impassable by
several feet.  High water surrounds river cabins.  This type of
flood occurs on average about once a year.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:00 PM EDT Thursday /6:00 PM CDT Thursday/ the stage was
20.8 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 7:00 PM EDT Thursday /6:00 PM CDT Thursday/ was
21.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Saturday afternoon and continue falling and remain below
flood stage.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers and

White River from Edwardsport southward to Hazleton.

.Main stems rivers in central and southern Indiana continue to work
at emptying last week's copious rainfall.  Flooding continues on the
Wabash River from Lafayette to Mount Carmel, and on the White River
south of Newberry.  Flooding ended at Elliston and Newberry on the
White River earlier today.  Flooding will last as long as mid week
next week.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...White River at Petersburg.

* WHEN...Until early Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Extensive flooding is progress affecting
agricultural and rural residential areas.  Several rural county
roads extensively flooded including Bottoms Rd...Brothers Rd and
E. Governor Rd in Knox County.  A few residents may move out in an
area locally known as Dodge City.  Several small oil fields are
inaccessible. During agricultural season much flood damage can
occur.  High water isolates some river cabin residents.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:30 PM EDT Thursday /8:30 PM CDT Thursday/ the stage was
22.3 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:30 PM EDT Thursday /8:30 PM CDT Thursday/ was
22.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 22.4
feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
flood stage early Tuesday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

High water surrounds residents in river cabins.  Oil fields and
local roads flood.

- There is no current observed data.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 22.6
feet early Saturday morning. It will then fall below flood
stage early Wednesday morning.
- Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

.Recent heavy rainfall has caused the Wabash River to rise into
minor flood at New Harmony.

For the Wabash River...including New Harmony...Minor flooding is
forecast.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Wabash River at New Harmony.

* WHEN...Until Friday, April 26.

* IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Harmonie State Park is closed. Surrounding
bottomland is flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:30 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 16.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.3
feet early Monday morning. It will then fall below flood
stage Thursday, April 25.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

Information:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
