...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY TUESDAY AFTERNOON... ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers and locations in Indiana...Illinois... Wabash River from Lafayette downstream to Mount Carmel, except for Clinton. White River at Edwardsport downstream to Hazleton. .Main stems rivers in central and southern Indiana continue to work at emptying last week's copious rainfall. Flooding continues on the Wabash River from Lafayette to Mount Carmel...except at Clinton where flooding ended earlier today, and on the White River south of Newberry. Flooding will last as long as mid week next week. Dry weather through Monday will be conducive to the rivers continuing their downfall. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Terre Haute. * WHEN...Until early Tuesday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 19.5 feet, Water begins to rise in the Izaak Walton Lake. Sheet flowing water begins in the wetland project between U.S. 40 and I-70, and during a prolonged flood event project fills about 75 percent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:30 PM EDT Friday /8:30 PM CDT Friday/ the stage was 19.2 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:30 PM EDT Friday /8:30 PM CDT Friday/ was 20.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early Tuesday morning and continue falling and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 16.5 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
