...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL MONDAY MORNING... ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Kansas... Walnut River at Arkansas City affecting Cowley County. Walnut River at Winfield affecting Butler and Cowley Counties. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Walnut River at Winfield. * WHEN...Until Monday morning. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 23.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 25.4 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow evening. - Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades.
