...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central and south central Kentucky, including
the following counties, in central Kentucky, Breckinridge,
Grayson, Hancock, Hart and Ohio. In south central Kentucky,
Butler, Edmonson and Warren.

* WHEN...Until 200 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1053 AM CDT, emergency management reported heavy rain in
the advisory area due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Between 1 and 3 inches
of rain have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Leitchfield, Hartford, Brownsville, Casey, Lee, Beaver Dam,
Clarkson, Caneyville, Fordsville and Concord.

Information:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
