...STRONG THUNDERSTORM MOVING INTO FRANKLIN COUNTY... At 837 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Savoy, or 10 miles south of North Adams, moving east at 60 mph. Frequent lightning, hail up to nickel size hail, heavy downpours and winds in excess of 30 mph will accompany this storm. Locations impacted include... Greenfield, Orange, Deerfield, Monroe, Athol, Winchendon, Montague, Templeton, Northfield, Bernardston, Buckland, Conway, Shelburne, Erving, Ashfield, Phillipston, Colrain, Gill, Charlemont and Royalston.
