...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Michigan...

Grand River near Comstock Park affecting Kent County.

Portage River near Vicksburg affecting Kalamazoo County.

.Water levels are slowly falling across the Grand River and Portage
River basins, but additional rounds of rain over the next 3 days
will get water levels rising again, and renewed flooding is expected.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Portage River near Vicksburg.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 5.0 feet, Expect overflows into wooded areas, yards,
a few outbuildings, and farmland adjacent to the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 6:00 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 5.0 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 4.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
this afternoon and continue rising to 5.0 feet this
afternoon. Additional rises are possible thereafter.
- Flood stage is 5.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
5.0 feet on 04/20/2013.

Information:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
