* WHAT...For the Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 100. For the
Lake Wind Advisory, northeast winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to
35 mph.

* WHERE...Central and Southeast Phillips, Central and Southern
Valley, Garfield, McCone, and Petroleum Counties.

* WHEN...For the Heat Advisory, until 2 AM MDT Wednesday. For the
Lake Wind Advisory, until noon MDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds and rough waves on area lakes will create
hazardous conditions for small craft. Hot temperatures and high
humidity may cause heat illnesses.

Information:
Boaters on Fort Peck Lake should use extra caution since strong winds
and rough waves can overturn small craft.

Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
emergency! Call 9 1 1.

areas, Central and Southeast Phillips, Petroleum and Southwest

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
