A remnant tropical system is passing through the waters Today. As it passes, areas of near gale southerly wind gusts will develop in the northern waters around and north of Cape Mendocino, including the northern inner waters from the mouth of the Eel River to along Humboldt and Arcata Bay. These winds will quickly ease tonight.
