...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT CLAIBORNE...NORTHWESTERN HAWKINS...HANCOCK...NORTHERN GRAINGER...NORTHEASTERN UNION...LEE AND SOUTHWESTERN SCOTT COUNTIES THROUGH 915 AM EDT... At 832 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Putney to Cubage to near Pruden. Movement was southeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Sneedville, Rutledge, Jonesville, New Tazewell, Bean Station, Tazewell, Pennington Gap, Harrogate, St. Charles, and Duffield.
