Nueces River Near Three Rivers affecting Live Oak County.

For the Nueces River...including Cotulla, Tilden, Three Rivers...
Major flooding is forecast.
For the Frio River...including Tilden...Major flooding is forecast.

* WHAT...Major flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Nueces River near Three Rivers.

* WHEN...From Monday evening until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 36.0 feet, Several homes flood in the River Creek
Acres Subdivision, five miles southeast of George West. Widespread
flooding cuts off and potentially drowns livestock. Roads and
bridges near the river flood and are impassable. There is
significant additional lowland flooding above this level. Flow
reaches Antelope Lane in the J.I. Hailey Subdivision at Jones River
bend.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:15 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 1.3 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 20.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage Monday
evening and continue rising to 36.6 feet Tuesday evening.
Additional rises are possible thereafter.
- Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 36.9
feet on 07/04/2002.

Information:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.

* WHAT...Major flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Frio River at Tilden.

* WHEN...Until Monday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 27.0 feet, Major flooding occurs. Numerous residences
and businesses flood in Tilden, requiring persons vulnerable to
flooding to be evacuated. Lowland flooding of crops and pastureland
traps and potentially drowns livestock. Most roads near the river
are flooded and dangerous. Water reaches the parking lot and doors
of the cafe.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- There is no current observed data.
- Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage Sunday
afternoon and continue falling to 9.1 feet Tuesday evening.
- Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 28.0
feet on 09/01/1919.
