...TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1030 AM CDT FOR EAST CENTRAL LANGLADE AND NORTHERN OCONTO COUNTIES... At 1002 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 7 miles southwest of Carter, or 19 miles southeast of Crandon, moving southeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. Other locations impacted by the tornado include Freeman and Boot Lake Campground.
Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built building away from windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
