River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast
precipitation for the next 48 hours.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Kaskaskia River at Carlyle.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 20.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is forecast to remain near 20.5 feet through
Saturday morning before falling to near 19.8 feet Sunday morning.
- Flood stage is 16.5 feet.

Information: 
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
