...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY TOMORROW AFTERNOON... ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Kansas... Ninnescah River near Belle Plaine affecting Sumner County. Ninnescah River near Peck affecting Sumner and Sedgwick Counties. Ninnescah South Fork near Murdock affecting Kingman County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Ninnescah River near Peck. * WHEN...Until early tomorrow afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, The north approach of the river bridge is flooded. Flood waters begin to spread to a width of 1 mile along the north bank. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 20.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight and continue falling to 6.0 feet Thursday morning. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades.
