Northwestern Stone County in southwestern Missouri...

* Until 115 AM CDT Monday.

* At 707 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Springfield, Nixa, Republic, Aurora, Battlefield, Strafford,
Willard, Marionville, Clever, Ash Grove, Crane, Billings, Verona,
Brookline, Hurley, Halltown, Chesapeake, Bois D'arc, Boaz,
Glidewell, Galloway and Pleasant Ridge.

This includes the following low water crossings...
Turnback Creek at County Road 2100, Wilson Creek at Farm Road 146,
Wilson's Creek at Old Limey Road, Dry Crane Creek at Jasmine Road,
Sac River at County Road 1247, Little Crane Creek at Old Wire Road
and Green Valley Creek at Holder RD.

Information:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
