Between 3 and 7 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Emergency management reported several roadways closed and water entering homes in Madison County due to flash flooding. Flint River at Brownsboro affecting Madison County. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Flint River at Brownsboro. * WHEN...From this evening to tomorrow evening. * IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Water begins to flood yards on the downstream side of the Brownsboro Road bridge. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:00 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 8.3 feet. - Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this evening to a crest of 19.0 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
