...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM THIS MORNING TO 7 AM EST MONDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 3 and 6
inches with localized 7 inch amounts possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central and eastern Massachusetts.

* WHEN...From 7 AM this morning to 7 AM EST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Periods of light snow
develop Sunday morning and continue at times into Sunday
afternoon. The heaviest of the snow will occur late Sunday
afternoon and night...when snowfall rates may exceed 1 inch per
hour. While the steadiest snow should be over by daybreak Monday...
snow showers may linger into the Monday morning commute making for
hazardous travel.

...AREAS OF BLACK ICE THIS MORNING...

Temperatures have dropped into the 20s to near 30 early this
morning. Light to calm winds with left over moisture from
yesterday/s rain and snow has resulted in the formation of black
ice. Although the focus is on the plowable snow that is coming
today into tonight...motorists planning to travel before the snow
arrives should be prepared for black ice. In addition...walkways
may be icy for pedestrians as well.
