Areas Affected: Long Island Sound East of New Haven CT/Port Jefferson NY to the Mouth of the Connecticut River; Long Island Sound East of the Mouth of the Connecticut River; Long Island Sound West of New Haven CT/Port Jefferson NY; New York Harbor; Peconic and Gardiners Bays; South Shore Bays from Jones Inlet through Shinnecock Bay

...DENSE FOG ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON EDT TODAY... ...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...For the Dense Fog Advisory, dense fog will reduce
visibility to less than 1 nm. For the Small Craft Advisory, NW
winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt expected.

* WHERE...Long Island Sound, the south shore and eastern bays of
Long Island, and New York Harbor, including Raritan Bay and
Sandy Hook Bay.

* WHEN...For the Dense Fog Advisory, until noon EDT today. For
the Small Craft Advisory, until 6 PM EDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft. Low
visibility will make navigation difficult.

Information:
Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller
vessels, should avoid navigating in hazardous conditions.

If you must navigate, proceed with caution. Use proper fog
signals. Make sure all running lights are on. Remember to use
your radar and compass.
