Central DeKalb County in northeastern Alabama...
Jackson County in northeastern Alabama...
Northeastern Marshall County in northeastern Alabama...
Southern Franklin TN County in middle Tennessee...

* Until 600 PM CDT.

* At 347 PM CDT, emergency management reported thunderstorms
producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 7
inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3
inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing
or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Emergency management reported vehicles stranded and
multiple roads closed in Hytop, Skyline, Stevenson,
and Scottsboro.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Scottsboro, Guntersville, Rainsville, Bridgeport, Henagar,
Stevenson, Sylvania, Hollywood, Powell, Grant, Skyline, Section,
Ider, Pisgah, Anderson, Pleasant Groves, Hytop, Dutton, Langston
and Martintown.

Information:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

* At 202 PM CDT, emergency management reported thunderstorms
producing heavy rain in northern Huntsville. Between 3 and 7
inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3
inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already
occurring.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
producing flash flooding.

SOURCE...Emergency management reported several roadways closed
and water entering homes in Madison County due to
flash flooding.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
