...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 PM CDT FOR WESTERN BOWIE AND NORTHEASTERN MORRIS COUNTIES...

At 905 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Dalby Springs,
or 14 miles southwest of New Boston, moving northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
New Boston, Hooks, De Kalb, Dalby Springs, Us 259 And I 30
Intersection, Almont, and Spring Hill.

Information:
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for northeastern
Texas.

A tornado watch remains in effect for the warned area. Tornadoes can
develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Although a tornado is not
immediately likely, if one is spotted act quickly and move to a place
of safety inside a sturdy structure, such as a basement or small
interior room.

Prepare immediately for large hail and deadly cloud to ground
lightning. Seek shelter inside a well-built structure. Stay away from
windows.

* At 617 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 4 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Vernon, Daingerfield, Quitman, Hughes Springs, De Kalb, Lone Star,

Rosewood and Wilkerson.

Information:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
