...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EST MONDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 3 and
6 inches for the lower elevations. For elevations elevations above
1000 feet, snow accumulations of 6 to 8 inches are expected with
localized amounts around a foot on the ridge tops of the Catoctin
Mountains. Northwest winds gusting around 30 to 45 mph overnight
through Monday.

* WHERE...Portions of central and north central Maryland, northern
and northwest Virginia, and panhandle West Virginia.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM EST Monday. Rain or a rain and snow mix will
change to snow between 4 PM and 6 PM late this afternoon and
evening. The steadiest snow will be this evening before tapering
off overnight into early Monday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
will impact the Monday morning commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Visibility will be reduced to below one-half
mile at times in falling and blowing snow overnight into Monday
morning.
