...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM AKST MONDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected and periods of wintry mix expected.
Total snow accumulations between 3 and 7 inches. Ice accumulations
around a light glaze possible. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...St Lawrence Island.

* WHEN...Until 3 PM AKST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow
could significantly reduce visibility to 1/2 mile or less at times.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Increasing temperatures cause the majority of
precipitation to turn to rain through Sunday which may freeze on
surfaces. Winds diminish Sunday. Rain changes back to snow as cold
air returns early Monday. Winds shift northerly and strengthen
Sunday evening through Monday. Cooling temperatures late Sunday
into Monday will cause wet surfaces to freeze.
