...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 5 and 10 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph. * WHERE...Upper Tanana Valley from Tok to Delta Junction. * WHEN...From Sunday afternoon through Tuesday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong northerly flow and moisture influx will allow for upslope flow over north facing slopes of the Alaska Range through the weekend. Low end snow amounts will total 5 inches with higher end amounts pushing upwards of 10 inches. Localized areas may see higher amounts where the upslope effects are strongest.
