...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM CHST MONDAY... * WHAT...Large breaking waves of 10 to 14 feet. * WHERE...North and west facing reefs of Chuuk. * WHEN...Until 5 PM ChST Monday. * IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tropical Storm Sinlaku is nearly stationary northwest of Weno. Seas and swells will produce large breaking waves of 10 to 14 feet across Chuuk through Monday afternoon. As Tropical Storm Sinlaku moves to the northwest, a prolonged westerly swell will remain across Chuuk.
Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions.
